Microsoft reports that some 32-bit applications are affected by recurring failures when saving and copying files across multiple versions of Windows (particularly when copying to network shares).

This known issue is unlikely to be experienced by consumers using Windows devices in personal or unmanaged business environments.

The latest version of Windows 11 is still waiting for a fix

Of all the affected Windows versions, Microsoft has yet to resolve file copy and save failures on the latest version, Windows 11, version 22H2.

However, the company says affected customers can work around the issue by saving or re-copying the files until a fix is ​​ready.

Microsoft has already solved the problem on Windows 10 and Windows 11 21H2 via Known Issues Rollback (KIR)a Windows feature designed to roll back buggy non-security fixes pushed through Windows Update.

Windows administrators should install and configure KIR Group Policy on all affected corporate-managed devices to resolve these file transfer and saving issues.
