Microsoft is investigating an ongoing outage preventing customers from accessing and using the Microsoft Teams communication platform through web and desktop clients.

While Redmond only acknowledged that the outage affects the web application, customers also report that they cannot access Teams through desktop clients on Linux and macOS.

“We are investigating an issue preventing some users from accessing Microsoft Teams using web browsers,” the company said. tweeted via the official Microsoft 365 Status Twitter account.

“The impact is specific to users who are served through the affected infrastructure and are not using a cached desktop version,” Microsoft said in a statement. incident report added to the admin center.

Microsoft also addressed a seven hour blackout which removed Outlook on the web service for users in North and South America.
