What’s fixed in the May 2023 updates
Microsoft says the update fixes a race condition in Windows Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS), where a bug prevented the Local Security Authority Subsystem Service (LSASS ) respond.
This occurs when the system is processing multiple local account operations simultaneously. The access violation error code is 0xc0000005.
After upgrading, you can now effortlessly sync your language and region settings whenever you update your Microsoft account display language or regional format. Also, by enabling language preference synchronization in your Windows backup settings, your custom settings will automatically be saved to your account.
Additionally, the company fixed an issue that previously affected Microsoft Edge IE mode. Pop-ups will now open in the foreground rather than the background. Another issue affecting IE Edge mode has also been fixed, as the tab window manager should no longer stop responding.
With this update, you may also notice a new look for mobile carrier-specific app icons.
Additionally, the company fixed an issue with the Chinese input method where the first suggested item was not fully visible.
