Burton Snowboards, a leading snowboard manufacturer, today canceled all online orders following what it describes as a “computer incident”.

“We are currently experiencing a system outage due to a recent cyber incident and are unable to process online orders at this time,” the snowboard brand said in a prominent alert on its website.

In a separate statement, Burton said he is currently investigating the incident with the help of outside experts to determine its impact.

As the company works to restore business operations that have been impacted, orders are no longer being processed.

“Burton recently experienced a cyber incident, which is impacting some of our operations. We are working closely with third-party specialists to investigate the incident and determine the full nature and extent,” Burton said. said.

“We are also doing everything we can to get our operations back up and running, but unfortunately we are unable to process orders at this time.”

Customers wishing to purchase snowboard gear or have it shipped to their location are encouraged to visit a Burton store or use the new online rental program.

The company did not provide details on the nature of this “cyber incident”, but will likely update its statement once the ongoing investigation is complete.
